Singapore Airlines New Business Class — reviewed

Paxway Editorial· 11 min read·October 20, 2026

The new SQ Business Class on the A350 fleet is the benchmark for premium cabin travel in 2026. We review every detail.

Singapore Airlines has been synonymous with business class excellence for decades. The airline's new business class seat, now deployed across its A350 and 777-9 fleet, raises the bar again.

The seat: The new SQ Business Class features a fully flat 78-inch bed in a 1-2-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access. The seat width is 26 inches — notably wider than most competitors. The privacy screen is full-height and actually provides meaningful separation from the aisle. The personal storage area is generous: a large side compartment, coat hook, and under-seat storage for a personal item.

The screen: Singapore Airlines has always had excellent IFE, and the new product does not disappoint. The 18-inch touchscreen runs the airline's KrisWorld system — the largest and most comprehensive library in the sky, with thousands of films, TV shows, music albums and games. A secondary screen on the seat arm controls the lighting and entertainment without disturbing the main screen.

Food and drink: This is where Singapore Airlines genuinely separates itself. The Book The Cook option allows you to pre-order from an extended menu before departure — dishes like laksa, satay and lobster thermidor that aren't available on the standard service. The standard menu is excellent by any measure. The Krug Champagne served in Business on selected routes is a touch that few carriers match.

Service: Consistently the best in the sky for most independent surveys. The cabin crew on SQ flight are attentive without being intrusive — they note your preferences early and operate accordingly. The pyjamas provided on long-haul routes (12+ hours) are among the most comfortable of any airline.

The lounge: The SilverKris Business Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 3 is one of the best in the world — a full restaurant with a la carte service, shower suites, and a quiet room. Changi Airport itself is worth the connection time if you have it.

At Paxway consolidator prices: SQ Business published fares from the US regularly exceed $12,000 return. Our clients typically pay $5,500–$7,500 — a saving of $4,500–$6,500 on a single booking. Call us for current availability on your specific route.
