First class fares are eye-watering at full price. At Paxway's rates, the maths changes completely. Here's how to decide.
First class on Emirates, Singapore Airlines or Lufthansa costs between $12,000 and $25,000 per person return at published prices. At those rates, it's hard to justify for most travellers — even frequent flyers. At Paxway's consolidator prices, the calculation changes.
Our first class fares typically land 40–55% below the published rate. That means Emirates First from New York to Dubai — normally around $16,000 — comes in between $7,500 and $9,500 through Paxway. Singapore Suites from New York to Singapore, published at over $20,000, can be available from $9,500–$12,000.
What does first class actually offer? On Emirates, you get a private suite with a closing door, an onboard shower, a dedicated lounge in Dubai that is genuinely in a different category from the business lounge, and chef-prepared food including caviar service. Singapore Suites offer a double bed (on A380 routes) and some of the most attentive service in commercial aviation. Lufthansa's HON Circle First features a private cabin with seats wider than most home beds.
For overnight flights of 12+ hours, the sleep quality alone makes first class dramatically different from business. Business class is excellent — but first class removes almost every remaining compromise.
The honest answer: if you're paying full fare, business class is almost always the right choice. If you're calling Paxway and the first class upgrade is $1,500–$2,500 above our business price, first class becomes very easy to justify. Call and ask what's available — we'll show you both prices.
